History

Good Az Gold Tours and Transfers was established in the new millennium by Ryan Thompson with the desire to provide professional, yet reasonably priced excellence in transport for any occasion. With his background of 10 years working in Tourism and Hospitality, Managing and supervising many Clubs, Boutique Hotels and even being a Bus and Coach Tour guide for the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Ryan Thompson has tried to instill his experience and Customer service values into Good Az Gold Tours.

In March 2008, Good Az Gold Tours further enhanced its commitment to the Greater Sydney bus and coach industry by taking over the running of Celebrity Events Management Bus and Coach division, including its contracts, staff and fleet.

With a growth in demand for broader Sydney based Bus and Coach Charter, an opportunity in mid 2008 presented itself for Good Az Gold Tours to purchase a well established Coach Company in Shire Coaches. The old owners Malcolm and Angie had a well established Charter company operating in the Sutherland Shire for over 18 years. With the promise to continue the Shire Coaches reputation and maintain the majority of its staff Good Az Gold Tours took control of Shire Coaches in July 2008. Although both companies are run as separate entities the administrative side is all done from the head office located near Windsor NSW.

The combined fleets, which now number over 20 vehicles, make Good Az Gold Tours and Shire Coaches one of the largest Tour and Charter operations in Greater Sydney, not to mention the largest High Capacity Operator in Sydney, running 63, 68, 70 and 72 Seat Buses and Seat Belted Coaches.

In March 2009, Good Az Gold Tours, teamed up with Harvey World Travel Penrith and Penrith City Council to provide the bus and coach transport for over 5000 people for the Ulysses Club 2009 AGM. This was a feature packed week in which Good Az Gold provided various daily shuttle runs and explorer buses every day of the event transporting thousands of people throughout the event daily as well as running over 10 successful coach tours taking groups on day tours around the Penrith, Hawkesbury, Hills, Blue Mountains, Sutherland Shire and South Coast area's of Sydney and NSW.

In October 2009 through its hard work and dedication to the Tourism Industry, Good Az Gold Tours was awarded as a top 5 finalist in the Small Business Champion Awards for Tourism in NSW and the ACT.

In November 2009 Good Az Gold Tours was again recognised as an industry leader by being awarded the main sub-contractor contract to supply 22 coaches for the 22nd Australian Scout Jamboree to be held at Cataract Park and Mosman in Sydney in January 2010.
